2022 4-Area DCM Sharing Session

We now have an agenda and discussion questions available (attached below).

Our Mighty Purpose and Rhythm

Since 1982, District Committee Members from the four (then only three) Areas of Southern California AA General Service have gathered annually to share their experience and understanding of important issues arising from our efforts to fulfill our responsibility to help struggling alcoholics and bring them into our community of recovery, unity and service.

They were as far removed in time from our origins as we are from them today. Then, as now, the intervening years brought tremendous innovations that helped us to extend our reach to those in need. Then, as now, those changes also brought new problems and new challenges to our efforts.

Through it all, our society continues to stretch out it’s hand to the alcoholic in need. For nearly a century, our mighty purpose has been matched by undiminished resolve, and the footfalls of our fellow trudgers provide the rhythm of recovery.

Reilly K., our newest Pacific Regional Trustee, will be joining us remotely to share about her 40+ years of experience in General Service. A former DCM for District 52 in Area 05, her participation in (and knowledge of) Southern California Alcoholics Anonymous work will provide invaluable lessons for all of us in General Service.

We are honored to have an elder stateswoman lead us off, and we hope you can join us!
